Downtown McKinney, Texas Engagement Session

Without much of a plan, we met Kyle and Amy in front of Spoons Cafe in historic downtown McKinney, Texas.  Though it was a warm evening, we had some nice cloud coverage which not only cut the heat but more importantly it created the “soft box in the sky” effect which produces a very soft defused natural light in our images.  Our couple didn’t take photos often, but effortlessly forgot about the camera and their love and connection really took over.  These two REALLY liked each other and it shows in our efforts.  With any session, the goal is to forget about the camera, focus on each other, be in love, relax, and have fun.  We had a great time meandering through the quaint little streets and alleys, talking, and just finding natural little spots that caught our attention; Sometimes it was color sometimes it was texture often it was both.  Shooting naturally without much of a preconceived direction can be inspiring and lead to some beautiful natural results.
